What You'll Need

• Embroidery or tapestry needle
• Canvas, linen, or silk gauze
• Scissors
• DMC cotton embroidery floss
• Pillow backing and filling

Stitched design sizes for recommended fabric counts (linen or silk gauze are recommended; assuming stitching over one fabric thread or mesh opening):

• 46 count: 7/8" wide by 1-3/16" high
• 40 count: 1" wide by 1-5/16" high
• 35 count: 1-1/8" wide by 1-1/2" high
• 32 count: 1-3/16" wide by 1-11/16" high

For finishing, allow at least ½″ beyond the stitched design on every side: ¼″ of visible border plus ¼″ seam allowance. Cut your fabric at least 1″ larger than the design in both width and height.
